The Gemini CCR Process
Completing your annual Consumer Confidence Report is a multistep journey.
At Gemini, we have distilled the process of completing your CCR into five “A-to-E” stages. They involve gathering and analyzing data, compiling the report amid changing regulations, reviewing for compliance, designing for accessibility, and managing engagement requirements such as printing, mailing, and state certification. We execute each of these stages for you as needed.
Analyze
Organize raw sample results from internal and lab testing
Compile results into a centralized master data set
Determine detections and which needs to be reported
Calculate summary values, using appropriate formulas for each contaminant
Convert results to mandated “CCR units” and with required significant figures
Build
Input required elements such as text sections, including mandatory EPA language and system-specific information
Include system data, consumer information, and regulatory information such as violations
Supplement report with informative, educational content and graphics (e.g. Cross-Connection details)
Build contaminant data tables with all regulatory requirements (e.g., MCL, typical source, health effects)
Flow the text of report sections to ensure report meets requirements for readability and to help consumer understanding.
Comply
Edit report for clarity, grammar, and tone
Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
Review data tables for proper formatting, units, and regulatory alignment
Compare the report content to identify compliance with recently enacted rules and regulations.
Iterate to incorporate feedback from key stakeholders
Design
Design and format the report to engage and educate your water customers
Incorporate graphical elements (e.g., pictures, logos, infographics) that improve report readability
Deliver digital PDF versions optimized for web and email
Deliver versions optimized for printing and mailing (e.g., brochure and booklet styles)
Provide ADA-compliant and translated versions to more broadly reach consumers
Engage
Print and bulk ship report copies to client offices
Mail full report or postcards to water customers
Ensure public access via “Good Faith” distribution methods (e.g., web-hosting, social media)
Certify report submission with applicable state regulatory agencies
